One of the fan favorites on a 1/35 scale, the German Krupp Protze 6-wheeled truck finally joins the 1/48 scale MM series. All characteristics of this truck, such as the inconspicuous bonnet, infantry carrier at the rear and double suspension arm suspension, have been reproduced in a realistic manner. Set also includes passenger and infantry passengers to enhance realism and atmosphere. The 1/48 MM series not only offers tanks, but also a rich variety of assistance and support vehicles for endless diorama possibilities.
This vehicle was popularly known as the "Boxer" because it had an air-cooled flat-four square engine. This in turn made possible a flat inclined hood with an unmistakable shape that also gave excellent forward visibility and a low silhouette. The Krupp "Boxer" was fairly ubiquitous in application and the chassis carried bodywork for a significant number of different roles. In addition to its air-cooled engine, the "Boxer" also had an independent suspension system that differs from the conventional suspension of other six-wheelers in German service.
